Some ground rules.

These are set and enforced by the norfolk.social moderators.

  1. We do not tolerate oppression of people on the basis of who they are.
  2. Bots are generally not allowed on this instance.
    Exceptions must be explicitly allowed by the admins of the instance.
  3. Use descriptions for visual media on public timeline posts.
    “alt text” makes such a positive difference to the accessibility of the content.
  4. Provide attribution for creative works.
    Memes or citations of popular media are excempt from this rule.
  5. We don't tolerate promotion of any cryptocurrency, NFTs, de-fi, and related projects.
    Mainly because we have *some* standards. Not many, I admit.
  6. Members must be 18 years old or older.
  7. We don’t obfuscate words
    Avoid using symbols to replace text in words, either to look fancy or to “hide” expletives. They are terribly inaccessible and, well, if you mean fuck, say fuck.
